Today i slept until 8..so nice! At 1pm im going to a hospital, cause today and this weekend we are filming for the tv-show. Im so excited!!

This wednesday i coloured my hair, just highlights, and it was scary. I picked a place close frome here with an english home-page but when i arrived no one spoke english..ahh..they started to show me pictures in magazines and i tried to explain. 3 different peolpe came and tried to understand me. After about 15 min finally came a costumer who spoke english and could translate. She said ‘ i think they got it’ and i was hoping they did. Then it took them 3 hours to finish and a lot of reading on the box of the colour. Felt like it was the first time with blonde hair..i dont know…but the resault was good=)

In school everything is good except that i dont understand chinese and dont know what the other teachers are talking about. I know they sometimes talk about me and i wish i knew what they say. Last week we went on a trip over the day to pick small tomatoes and radish on some fields. it was fun and the kids were really excited. I tried really weird candy, like dried meet, seagrass and egg cake. Not really my thing. The weather was great, 25 degrees, and after trying to help the children pickingĀ  red tomatoes( they took the green ones all the time) we went back to school in the bus. Someone threw up, probably to much candy, and another girl threw chocolate at me.

This week i also meet a chinese girl, Ping, and her italian friend. She was very nice and funny and we talked about life. She wants to move to Canada after the summer. I guess every chinese girl or boy i met here want to go abroad. She also told me about her parents that lives in middle of china having a field with watermelons. She gives them almost all her salary and just keeps her self what she needs to survive. Something else all the chinese people i met here have in common is the fact that they all wants to live together with their parents. One girl i met is working here just because she wants to make good money so she can bring her parents here in a couple of years. Thats really sweet but i have hard to understand it myself. Another thing is marriage. In school they often talk about marriage, who is married, who is getting married and bla bla. The girl im spending most time with in school is getting married this year. So she has to quit heir work. Why?,i asked! And she said getting married takes so much time and you are really busy, buying things and talking photos and having partys. Like a full-time job!

Now i also have another job, streetstyle photographer. I hope i can start next week when im free from school 3 days, holidays!

3 days at my new job now! So far so good. The children are sweet but have very hard to sit still for 25 min. Each week has a different theme, this week its animals. I show pictures, do sounds and read stories for them. I dont know how many times i’ve sad mouse, cat and crocodile the last days….and there’s still 3 days to go with animals. Some of the kids are obly 3 years old and doesnt seem to understand so much, for instans they say good morning in the afternoon. But thats just cute=) We get food in school to, really good chinese food. Two disches per day plus soup. But no one is talking while eating which i think is a little bit weird. Everyone is concentrated in their food and is not leaving their eyes from the bowl during the whole meal.

Oli is resting in bed. He was at the hospital for healt check and they missed his venes when they took a blood test so now his arm is hurting. But what i know all men get very very sick even when they only have a cold=)

This weekend we went to the market i was at with the girls. We bought some photos for our empty walls and took a look at some chinese furniture. Would be nice with a chinese cupboard in the bedroom. In fact we have to buy something soon cause my underwear is still in a ikea-bag. We where also spending some nice time at temple of heaven. The weather was perfect and oli got some nice photos. I got icecream!Saturday night was great! We had a wonderful schnitzel and weissbier at Paulaner Brauhaus, outside!!! First night eating outside…made me so happy! The resturant was great to! All the chinese waitresses had german dresses and they were playing german music. i felt like we were in munich in the summer! Then we took a couple of drinks at zeta bar which is one of the coolest bar ive seen. Very nice furniture and style! Definetly something for Charlotte and Ian (if they come). The night ended with some barbeque-sticks on the street and then taxi home. Oliver is too old for dancing all night;)

Tomorrow i will do a casting for a tv-show.Just for fun=). I let you know how it went!

Tomorrow i will start my new job as teacher in kindergarten. Im looking forward! I will work from 8.30 until 16.00 with lunch break 11.30-14.00….I get lunch for free in the school kitchen. The kids are from 3-6 years old and very cute!I dont really know how to learn all the naimes though, as there are around 100 students in the school.

Takes around 40 minutes with bus to the school plus walking 10-15 min, but its alright! The first day tomorrow i will learn the kids some animals…=)

Tonight is anna and hannas last night in beijing. Im waiting for them to get home so we can go to the supermarket. By the way i love the chinese supermarkets here. They have so much fresh things and perfect for lunch. today i had a tortilla kind of thing filled with some vegetables and noodles. For only 3 yuan(25 euro-cent?)!!

Last saturday we went to an outdoor market, pan jia yuan. It was amazing! So much nice things, no people screaming looki looki and good prices. I bought two posters for our white walls, some bread and a red kimono in silk. But i wanted to buy everything, like jewelry, plates, scarves, paintings and buddha-statues. ( Vad vill du ha i studentpresent linnea?)
what is very nice about beijing is that you can find a lot of small shops or kiosks on the streets where they do fresh and cheap food. you can get spit with meat, pancakes with vegetables or bread with egg and ham. Yummi!

Friday is a holiday here so long first weekend=)
